For the first 3.5 miles the trail gradually climbs in switchbacks to the junction with Miners Cabin Trail #795 that goes to the right indicated with the sign "To Suiattle Pass" . There is a small campsite at the junction. Continue on the left fork. From this point the trail steeply switchbacks through the woods and enters meadows at times. In about 2 miles the trail reaches the pass and another junction - main trail goes on the right and a trail that leads to the Miners Ridge Lookout (0.3 mile) goes on the left. The lookout is used by rangers during summer times. In 0.7 mile from the junction the trail descends to Image Lake. Before reaching the lake the trail divides into two, where left fork is for horse users. Beautiful lake is not big and surrounded by meadows. Camping is 0.2 mile south from the lake. Camping elsewhere is prohibited. Campfires are prohibited. The trail continues further East indicated by sign "Suiattle Pass". The trail goes up the hill to the junction with Canyon Lake Trail #797 to the left and continues further following grassy slope and gradually descending for about one mile before reaching Lady Camp where horse camping is available. The trail enters the woods and in about one mile there is a junction with Miners Cabin Trail #795. Continuing further on the trail indicated by sign "Suiattle Pass" you will get to the old miners cabin on the left side of the trail. The trail follows the slope offering impressive views of the Glacier Peak, Plummer Mt., Fortress Mt., and North Star Mt . In 1.5 mile the trail reaches the junction with PCT #2000 at Suiattle Pass.
