Driving Directions:        
From Seattle take I-90 East to Exit 54. Turn left at the Stop, and in about 0.2 mile take another right onto Gold Creek, Road #4832. In a mile there is left turn onto spur #144 that leads to Gold Creek Trail #1314. Continue straight on Road #4832. In about 3 miles (gravel road starts in 1.5 mile) take left fork at the junction to the Road #4934. Follow the road for 0.4 mile to the parking on the left side of the road. The trail starts at the gates (left side) about 0.1 mile up the road.

Go through the gates. Gradually climbing, the trail follows the road for about 0.5 mile. Then the trail turns left and steeply climbs through the clearcut for about 1 mile. The higher you go the better the view of Mt. Rainier. The trail enters the woods and gradually climbing in switchbacks for about 0.6 mile leads to junction with Lake Margaret Trail # 1332.1, that goes to the right. There is another junction in about 0.3 mile with Mount Margaret Trail, that goes to the right too.

Main trail continues straight and gradually descending for about 0.8 mile reaches Twin Lakes . The lakes are not big, with grassy shores. There are several campsites at the lakes. In about 0.6 mile from Twin Lakes the trail enters open rocky slope with a distant view of the waterfall coming down from Lake Laura . In about 0.3 mile of steep climbing the trail bring you to Lake Lillian . The lake is very beautiful, its steep shores are grown with trees and meadows. There are several campsites on the northern and southern shores. The trail continues along the eastern side of the lake, where it meets with Rampart Ridge South Trail, that goes to the right and up the slope, and provides access to Rampart Lakes and Rachell Lake Trail #1313.
