The
trail climbs steeply, at times entering open slopes. To follow the
trail on open slopes look for stone cairns. Coming closer to the
lake the trail passes a small waterfall. The lake is beautiful,
the shores are steep and grown with trees. There are several campsites
along the east shore. Alaska Mountain rises on the north-west side
of the lake .
You can see Pacific Crest Trail high up the slope of the Alaska
Mountain.
